Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) Tax Credits offer an alternative to paying individual income taxes while helping the at-risk children right here in the Ozarks. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) is designed to provide assistance to community-based organizations that implement community or neighborhood projects in the areas of community service, education, crime prevention, job training and physical revitalization.
- Businesses only – individuals who operate a sole proprietorship, operate a farm, have rental property or have royalty income are also eligible, as well as a shareholder in an S-corporation, a partner in a Partnership or a member of a Limited Liability Corporation.

How it Works:
Instead of paying taxes to the State of Missouri, you make a charitable gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, MO. In return, the State of Missouri awards NAP credit coupons that reduce your state taxes. Individuals are allowed to use up to $200,000 in NAP credit coupons per year! You may also realize a charitable deduction on your federal income taxes as well.
Redirecting your taxes through the Missouri NAP program helps to assure adequate programs and educational facilities will be available for children in need.
