Boys & Girls Club strives to live out its core values through its members and staff, Sarah Marsh, Unit Director for the McGregor Unit, does just that.

Sarah’s passion for Boys & Girls Club is fueled by her Uncle Quincy. Quincy worked for the Boys & Girls Club of Seattle for over 40 years. Sarah said that he always raved about the Club’s organization and values.

Sarah said, “Now that I work for Springfield, I can see all of the reasons he loved working for the Boys & Girls Club!”

Sarah attended before and after school programs, when she was younger and understands the necessary role such programs play for working families.

Sarah chose Boys & Girls Club because, “...they have a direct impact on their members and families. The Boys & Girls Club's core values can positively impact the members for the rest of their lives and I love that we make that part of the Club experience.”

Since choosing the Club to help great futures happen, Sarah has realized how important it is to show compassion towards others. She works diligently to make sure our Club members understand how important it is to treat others with compassion as well.

Sarah says that she loves learning new things about each member and creating an environment that they look forward to being in every day.

BGCS is so grateful to have an awesome director like Sarah, who continues to make the environment around her so positive and welcoming.
