Scholarship Spotlight: Reon

We are excited to announce this month’s scholarship recipient spotlight & BGCS alumni, Reon!

Reon is a junior at the University of Amsterdam. His major is business administration and finance. He is currently a member of the business association at the university and competes in case studies competitions internationally. After graduation, he plans to pursue his master’s degree in finance upon graduation. However, his plans don’t stop there! He hopes to become a Chartered Financial Analyst.

“I started attending at the age of nine, and since then, the Boys & Girls Club has provided me with numerous possibilities that I would not have been able to experience without them,” says Reon. Reon says that BGCS provided a strong foundation, making him the person he is today.

The scholarship program aids Club members in a multitude of ways.

For Reon, it was an unexpected surprise, “The Club has helped me a tremendous amount when I was a young child, and to still receive help from them when I am attending college and striving to reach my goals is incredible.”

Because of the generous donors that support the scholarship program, Club members are able to dream big, and ensure that their circumstances do not dictate their access to opportunity.

“As a kid, the Club has always supported and blessed me with moments that I will always remember and cherish. At the time I did not realize how pivotal of an experience that would be in making me the person I am today,” says Reon.
