Leadership is Announced
for the new O'Reilly Unit
We are incredibly excited to introduce both the Unit and Program Director for the new O'Reilly Unit inside Williams Elementary. Shonte Clay-Fulgham, Unit Director, joins our team with a wealth of prior experience including sales management, marketing, corporate partnerships and athletic coaching. Shonte has her bachelor’s degree in communications/Spanish and her master’s degree in sports management and administration.
Shonte says she chooses to work for the Club because there is no greater mission. “The impact the Boys & Girls Club has on children for the rest of their lives will ultimately impact the world- as these children are our future leaders- and to play a small part in that is truly a blessing and honor,” she says.
Program Director, Katie Cartwright has been a part of the Club family since 2017. Before becoming Program Director for the O’Reilly Unit, she served as Morning Program Coordinator for the Fremont Unit. She has her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Missouri State University and is currently pursuing her master’s in counseling.
Katie believes it’s crucial to have a positive mindset in life and to constantly be growing as a person. These personal values connect her to her work at the Club. She says her favorite thing about working for BGCS is building relationships with the members and making an impact on them. “As much as we strive to make in impact on our members, they end up making a bigger impact on us,” she says.
