Hosts it's Annual Baseball Camp
Kiwanis baseball camp is a Boys & Girls Club tradition that goes back many years! It is a day filled with food, wonderful volunteers, Andy's Frozen Custard, a visit from a special mascot, and mostly...baseball.
Club members of all ages and all abilities learned game fundamentals, but more importantly, practiced what it means to show good sportsmanship. Kiwanis volunteers worked with Club members, taking time to teach them skills one-on-one and cheering them on when they hit the ball or made a catch.
Springfield Cardinals mascot, Louie even came out for a surprise visit! Club members were thrilled to take pictures with Louie and it was a perfect way to end this great event!
