Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield (BGCS) has been awarded $50,000 from the Schneider Foundation to expand and revitalize its performing arts programming, creating new opportunities for youth across all seven Club locations to explore their creativity, develop new skills and discover their potential.

Through this generous investment, BGCS has established a dedicated Performing Arts Coordinator who will
lead and expand programming in:
- Singing
- Stage Performance
- Theater
- Dance
- Instrumental Music and more
The renewed focus on performing arts will give young people opportunities to learn, practice and perform
throughout the year, culminating in productions and showcases for the Springfield community. Beyond
developing artistic skills, these experiences help youth build confidence, express themselves and discover
talents they may not have otherwise had the opportunity to explore.
“We are incredibly grateful for the partnership we've found in the Schneider Foundation,” said Brandy Harris,
CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield. “Their investment is creating new opportunities for young people in
our community to realize their own potential. The experiences and skills youth gain through the arts can stay
with them for a lifetime, and we're excited to see what they'll accomplish.”
The Schneider Foundation has a longstanding commitment to strengthening the Springfield community
through investments in local schools, educational programs and opportunities that benefit current and future
generations. Its partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield reflects a shared belief in the importance of
investing in young people and ensuring they have the resources, experiences and encouragement needed to
thrive.
By making the performing arts more accessible across its seven locations, BGCS hopes to ensure more young
people have the opportunity to experience the joy of creative expression, find their voice and share their
talents with others.
