Since opening our doors in 1938, our mission has remained the same: to provide safe, supportive places and opportunities for kids and teens in Springfield. This recognition reflects the steady growth and commitment that has guided our work for more than 85 years.

The Springfield Business Journal presented this award as part of its 2025 Nonprofit Excellence Awards, which highlight organizations making a positive difference in the community. Being chosen as the winner in the large nonprofit category is an honor we share with every staff member, volunteer, donor, and partner who helps make our programs possible.

We remain focused on helping young people realize their potential through programs in Education, Health & Wellness, The Arts, Sports & Recreation, Workforce Readiness, and Character & Leadership. With new opportunities ahead, like our Risdal Family Teen Center for Great Futures, we look forward to continuing to serve more youth across Springfield.
