America Ortiz

America is currently pursuing her bachelor's from Ozarks Technical Community College Missouri State University to become a registered nurse. Prior to her current position at the Club, she worked at Cesar's Old Mexico as a hostess.

America first became a Club member in 2015 at our Sertoma unit, and won the first BGCS Jr. Youth of the Year. She began volunteering with the Club the next year, became an administrative assistant in 2021, and in August 2022 took her current position as the HR Intern.

America said even after working alongside the Club after eight years, she has never lacked meaning in the work she does. "Each day I come into the Club, I make a difference in the lives around me, there is so much room to help create and foster positive relationships with members, staff, and our community."

Outside of the Club, America loves to learn. Some of her interests include nature, sports photography, music, and being wrapped up in her blanket.
