The Heart of the Ozarks Sertoma Club has provided a generous donation of $23,700 to help fund the operations of the newest Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield Sertoma Unit in Sherwood Elementary.  HOTO has committed to help with funding of the Sertoma Unit as part of the Capital Campaign prior to the opening of the Unit in 2015.

HOTO Club members are dedicated to giving their time in order to provide GREAT FUTURES for the young people in our community, especially those most at risk.  These dedicated individuals have pooled their collective energies and resources for over fifty years to help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield serve young people, especially those most at-risk, with opportunities to help them to learn skills for great futures!

They have provided funds for buildings, vehicles, staffing, programming, building and vehicle repairs and improvements, trips for our club members, technology, college scholarships, special events such as the annual Christmas to Remember, and this is just a brief listing of their contributions.  HOTO has remained diligent throughout the years to keep the youth in this community as a priority, for a greater future of each of them, as well as our community as a whole.

The Springfield area Sertoma Clubs are rooted in the belief that they can be a powerful force for positive youth development. The Sertoma Clubs have implemented changes to improve conditions in almost every sector of our community by their continued support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield’s core programs.
