The Eagles and the Boys & Girls Clubs
We are pleased to announce that the Eagles (both the men
and women's civic group) has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Springfield in order to provide an outstanding basketball program. The Eagles
approached Chris Whitehead, Director of Resource Development regarding a
partnership with our Club. Chris Whitehead and Casey O'Donnell,
Sports Coordinator met with the Eagles in order to discuss the support of our
basketball program. Chris and Casey shared that there are youth who participate
in our programs but are unable to afford the uniforms. The Eagles were willing
to support the idea of providing support that will allow the program to grow
within the community by increasing both the quality of the program along with
making it affordable for all. The Eagles plan to support a proposal for $12,000
which will provide a reversal jersey uniform for each child, trophies to all
individuals that are involved in the post season tournament and new square
backboards at the Musgrave unit. Thank you Eagles for your outstanding support
of our basketball program!

donations, we will begin experimenting by selling these items on eBay. We are
looking for items with a value of at least $50. Obviously, shipping is a big
issue so…examples of great items might be: gift certificates, sport event
tickets, electronic equipment, music instruments, sports equipment, electronic
games, jewelry, books, printers, etc. If you are interested in donating, please
contact the Admin office (417) 862-9249. Thanks so much.
