Sertoma Clubs of Springfield
The Springfield area Sertoma Clubs are major sponsors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield. Sertoma has supported the local Boys & Girls Clubs since its inception in 1941. SERTOMA is a curious word that brings three very important words together in unison: SERvice TO MAnkind. Sertoma’s primary service project is assisting the more than 50 million people with speech, hearing, and language disorders. Sertoma also sponsors community projects to promote freedom and democracy, to assist youth, and to benefit a variety of other local community needs, as identified by the individual clubs.
The legendary Sertoma Chili Cook-Off happens every February, when all the local clubs unite to create a fabulous event to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, MO.
Bringing the best of Mississippi Delta cuisine to the Ozarks, Everything from Cajun to Creole can be sampled at this wonderful event put on by the Queen City Sertoma Club.
Every November the people of southwest Missouri are treated to an event so special and so fun, it had to be trademaked. Wings from over 30-restaurants, great live music and the best beverages make "Winga-Day" a date to remember.
