On Thursday, May 24, Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield

will begin a summer full of great opportunities for all members. 

Summer registration starts NOW and slots will fill fast so don’t miss out!

Applications may be taken to the Boys & Girls Club Unit Monday – Friday

between 12-6:30 p.m.  (Registering between 4-6 p.m. may take longer.)

A $50 deposit is required upon registration, and a payment schedule is offered.

Receive a 10% discount for payment in full at time of registration.

Shaynna is a 16-year-old junior at Marshfield High School. She has been a member of the Musgrave Unit for 11 years joining the club the summer of 2000. … She has two brothers Josh and Austin and lives with her mother Kimberly Holland.

Shaynna loves music, hanging out with her friends and doing community service with the keystone club of which she is President. She volunteers at the Price Cutter Charity championship golf tournament many times. She has volunteered at Joy Assisted Living, street cleanups with Keystone, the vegetable garden at the Musgrave Unit and does peer-to-peer mentoring with younger members at the Musgrave Unit.

Shaynna has a 3.1 GPA while taking Biology, Algebra II, World History and English II honors classes. Then she drives to Springfield from Marshfield almost every day to attend the club. She is a natural leader and a take-charge kind of person with a great motivating attitude.

Way to go Shaynna! We are all so very proud of you.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield believes every child should have every opportunity to be their best!  If a child has underlying mental health or behavioral issues that are preventing them from reaching their goals, we want to help.

Through a partnership with Forest Institute and funding by Sertoma Chili Cook-Off proceeds, Heart of the Ozarks Sertoma Club and the St. John’s Foundation, counseling services are provided to selected Club members from each of our three Units. Club members are screened to assess their strengths and weaknesses and we provide families with opportunities to be able to bring out the best in their children. Based on screening results, we can provide direction for the care your child needs along with training for parents and staff.

There will never be enough mentors for the amount of children that need one in the Springfield area, but we are trying our best to gain as many commited adults as we can to this wonderful program. Our Mission to Mentor program is one more step in ensuring that GREAT Futures start HERE!
