YOP Tax Credits

Tired of paying taxes?  Wish you had the money to make a meaningful charitable gift?  Here is your answer:

50% YOP Credits

Youth Opportunities Program (YOP) Tax Credits offer an alternative to paying individual income taxes while helping the at-risk children right here in the Ozarks.  Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the Youth Opportunities Program (YOP) is designed to broaden and strengthen opportunities for positive development and participation in community life for youth, and to discourage such persons from engaging in criminal and Angelicaviolent behavior.

Who Qualifies?

  • Individuals
  • Businesses
  • Corporations

What Gifts Qualify?

  • Cash
  • Stocks & Bonds
  • Materials, Supplies, & Equipment – valued at the lessor of either the fair market value or contributor’s cost.
  • Real Estate – valued at the lessor of two independent appraisals.

How it Works:

Instead of paying taxes to the State of Missouri, you make a charitable gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, MO.  In return, the State of Missouri awards YOP credit coupons that reduce your state taxes.  Individuals are allowed to use up to $200,000 in YOP credit coupons per year!  You may also realize a charitable deduction on your federal income taxes as well.

Redirecting your taxes through the Missouri YOP program helps to assure adequate programs and educational facilities will be available for children in need.  YOP credits cost nothing, but mean everything!  Check out how the Missouri State YOP Tax Credit Program can benefit you and the children right here in the Ozarks!
