Campbell/McGregor Outreach
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield Summer Outreach Program is held at the McGregor School facility located at 1221 West Madison Street. It begins on June 9 and runs through July 18. The hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday—Friday. Breakfast and lunch are served daily, which is included in the fee. The program is for children who attend McGregor or Campbell Schools or live in the neighborhood. This is the seventh year for the program. Activities are held in the morning at the school site. Computer, music and arts and crafts classes are offered along with games and outside activities. Every afternoon the children go on field trips i.e., swimming, movies, bowling, roller skating, ice skating, or to one of the city parks. The program is supported by the CDBG funds as well as a grant from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. If you would like more information, contact Candace Brandt at 523-5700.
