Darrel Love

Darrel L. Love was involved with the Boys & Girls Club from the age of 8 until his death at the age of 60 in 1995.

As a boy, Darrel was the Youth of the Year, and a Golden Gloves boxing champion.

As an adult, he continued his relationship as a legendary fund-raiser and through his affiliation with the Sertoma Clubs. He built several Sertoma Clubs, all with the goal of supporting the Boys & Girls Club. In 1980, he was the “International Sertoman of the Year.”

Darrel lived his life as a “Boys Club kid,” and devoted every day to making the Boys and Girls Clubs of Springfield a better place for kids.

Inducted into the Hall of Fame on February 3, 2009
