Azell Morris

Azell Morris

Azell Morris served nine years as President of the Board of Directors soon after the board was formed to provide guidance and support to the Boys Club. He was a charter member of the Sertoma Club, which brought him into active support of the Boys Club in 1942.

Those were difficult years which caused the interest of some to wane, but only caused this successful businessman to pick up momentum to go forward.

As one of the persons who was there near the beginning, H. Azell Morris is one of those responsible for what the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield is today. For his outstanding contributions, Azell received the Service to Mankind award as well as the Man and Boy award.

Inducted into the Hall of Fame on February 3, 2009
